Start preparing for exams: Khandu to APPSC aspirants

Boleng: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday called upon the APPSC aspirants of the state to start preparing for fresh examinations.

The chief minister asserted that his government will ensure that the same is conducted in a free and fair manner from now on.

Interacting with the media here in Siang district, Khandu said that the state government will soon form a selection committee to recruit a new chairman and members for the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) for which advertisements have already been rolled out.

“Also the SOP (standard operating procedure) of the Commission would be redesigned so that the leftover exams are conducted at the earliest. So I would suggest our youths start preparing for the examinations,” he said.

The chief minister also informed that a request has been made before the Central government asking it to direct the CBI to take over the entire investigation in the APPSC paper leak case.

“A letter requesting transfer of all the cases related to the paper leak including those being presently investigated by the special investigation cell (SIC) of the state police to the Central Bureau of Investigation has already been sent to the Centre,” Khandu said.

Replying to queries regarding the non-seizure of properties of the accused, Khandu said the evaluation process is carried out by the investigating agencies (CBI and SIC) which have their own process and rules and it takes time.
