SIC arrests SI exam topper, 5 others in APPSC paper leak case

Itanagar: The Special Investigation Cell (SIC) of the Arunachal Pradesh police has arrested six under training sub-inspectors (civil) in connection with the APPSC paper leak scam.

The trainees were reportedly arrested from the North Eastern Police Academy (NEPA) in Meghalaya recently.

Credible sources told NewsFy that the ones arrested are the toppers of the sub-inspector (Civil/IRBN) examination that was conducted by the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) on October 16 and 17, 2021 and on January 24 to February 02, 2022.  

The result of the examination was declared on February 02, 2022.

According to sources, the ones arrested are Kangkeng Garu who had topped the sub-inspector examination, Pakjum Gamlin (Rank 02), Jembang Darang (Rank 03), Yon Talom (Rank 04), Kaling Jerang (05) and Kali Yomcha (Rank 09).

All the arrested were appointed as sub-inspectors (civil) and were undergoing training in NEPA.  

Speaking to NewsFy, SIC superintendent of police Anant Mittal confirmed the arrests, but refused to comment further on the matter.
