Rising together: APC workshop inspires Arunachal’s youth to shine

Itanagar: The three-day workshop titled “The Platform: Avenues, Opportunities & Self Employment” organized by the Arunachal Photography Club (APC) in collaboration with the Department of Youth Affairs came to a successful end at the Dorjee Khandu Auditorium of the state legislative assembly here on Sunday.

The workshop witnessed the participation of over 300 enthusiastic individuals and provided a remarkable platform for profound discussions and interactive sessions. These engaging dialogues were led by a distinguished panel of experts who shared their insights over the three-day event.

Key subjects covered during the workshop spanned a broad spectrum, including agriculture and allied sectors with a specific emphasis on the sustainable development of bamboo resources, film production, entrepreneurship, financial solutions, skill development, tourism, and livelihoods related to adventure.

Participants, resource persons, and various government departments involved in the event expressed a unanimous desire for it to become an annual statewide tradition, underscoring its importance and relevance.

The valedictory session witnessed the presence of eminent figures, including Sports and Youth Affairs minister, Mama Natung, Roing MLA Mutchu Mithi and Youth Affairs director, Ramesh Linggi, who graced the event as chief guest, guest of honor, and special guest, respectively.

Addressing the occasion, Natung shed light on various government initiatives under the leadership of Chief Minister Pema Khandu and encouraged the youth to seize these opportunities.

He commended the APC for organizing this distinctive event, highlighting its role in bringing together relevant government departments, agencies and accomplished resource persons who can inspire and empower others.

The minister also underscored the importance of unity among the various tribes and groups within Arunachal, highlighting that a unified front is crucial for the state’s progress.

Natung expressed his appreciation for the initiative and called for similar events to be held across the state, extending beyond the state capital.

MLA Mithi, in his address, motivated the youth to venture out of their comfort zones, explore opportunities, and strive for self-employment. He emphasized the importance of making Arunachal Pradesh self-reliant in the face of challenges.

During his address, APC president, Bengia Mrinal, expounded on the club’s core concept of “Give Back to Society.”

He also expressed his gratitude to the department of youth affairs for entrusting them with the responsibility of executing the event.

Earlier, the dignitaries toured the event stalls, offering encouragement and commending the entrepreneurial spirit of the participants.

The day also witnessed the launch of “Mirik”, a millet powder product created by Maga Tater, which was unveiled by the guests.

Additionally, the APC donated over 100 packed lunches to the Arunachal Life Saving Foundation (ALSF), led by Ramesh Jeke, as part of their ongoing community support initiatives.
