GSS Chimpu’s new library opens doors to knowledge, imagination

Itanagar: The Government Secondary School in Chimpu near here celebrated a significant milestone on Thursday with the inauguration of its new library on campus.

The idea for the library was conceived by Keyom Doni, a former guest teacher in Mathematics at the school. Understanding the pivotal role of a well-equipped library in a comprehensive education, Doni took the initiative to raise funds for the project through crowd funding.

With contributions from donors nationwide, Doni personally oversaw the renovation of the library space provided by the school.

I encourage each student to enter this library with a thirst for knowledge. Explore different genres, challenge yourselves with new ideas, and allow the magic of words to transport you,” he said.

Government Higher Secondary School Polo Colony vice-principal T Lowang underscored the importance of cultivating reading habits among students.
