CM Khandu calls for strengthening SOP of APPSC for transparent recruitment

Itanagar: Chief Minister Pema Khandu has emphasized the need to strengthen the standard operating procedure (SOP) of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) for a transparent recruitment process.

SOPs are a collection of detailed instructions created by an organization to assist employees in performing routine tasks. The primary goals of SOPs are to enhance efficiency, ensure high-quality results, maintain consistent performance, and minimize errors and non-compliance with industry standards.

The chief minister in a meeting with the members of the APPSC on Thursday expressed satisfaction over the formation of the commission and shared his satisfaction over the same.

“I am happy with the constitution of APPSC membership. I emphasized on strengthening Standard Operating Procedure for transparent recruitment process,” Khandu later wrote on X, formerly twitter.

During the meeting, Khandu highlighted that more than 1200 Group A and B posts are currently vacant under the Government of Arunachal Pradesh.

He expressed his eagerness for the recruitment process to be conducted promptly.

Furthermore, the chief minister urged the members of the commission to maintain the integrity of the recruitment process, ensuring that the trust of aspirants is not compromised.

The meeting was attended by APPSC chairman Prof Pradip Lingfa and members Rosy Taba and Col (Retd) Koj Tari, among others.
