Ziro: In response to concerns raised by the Apatani Student Union (ASU) regarding the Ziro Music Festival (ZFM) and their proposed bandh call scheduled for September 29-30, a resolution has been reached through the intervention of the Tanii Supuñ Dukun (TSD).

The TSD in a clarification issued on Wednesday said that the ASU has been actively advocating against the drug menace in the region, and it is acknowledged that ZFM organizers have also been actively involved in anti-drug campaigns, as discussed in a recent meeting with the district administration and civil societies.

“The TSD, in appreciation of the ASU’s sincere efforts in combating the drug issue, wishes to clarify that the matter has been resolved amicably. Consequently, the bandh call has been withdrawn in the larger interest of the public,” the society said.

Visitors and guests are now reassured that they are welcome to attend the Ziro Music Festival without any concerns.

The Ziro Music Festival has gained popularity over the years and is known for its celebration of music, art, and culture. With this resolution, festival-goers can look forward to an uninterrupted and vibrant celebration of music in the picturesque surroundings of Ziro Valley.
