Itanagar: Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, on Monday reassured local entrepreneurs of the Central government’s unwavering support in addressing their concerns and promoting entrepreneurial endeavours.
Expressing optimism about Arunachal Pradesh’s potential for growth, Minister Goyal said Arunachal, as a state, offers vast opportunities for entrepreneurs.
Our focus is on creating a conducive business environment, enhancing connectivity, and ensuring sustainable development. We are committed to making this region a thriving economic hub,” he said while adding that “development of India hinges on the rapid development of the northeastern states.”
Goyal is on an official visit to Arunachal to participate in SAMVAD – the inaugural outreach programme for investors and industry in the northeastern region.
During his visit, Goyal engaged in high-level discussions with state officials, business leaders, and local entrepreneurs.
The focus was on identifying new avenues for trade, investment, and sustainable development to better integrate Arunachal Pradesh into national and global economic frameworks.
At SAMVAD 2024, the UNNATI Booklet was launched, and registration certificates were issued to investors from Assam. The summit brought together investors, industry experts, and local entrepreneurs to showcase Arunachal Pradesh’s unique opportunities and attract both domestic and international investments.
Goyal interacted with representatives from diverse sectors such as agriculture, handicrafts, tourism, and technology, encouraging them to leverage opportunities under UNNATI – 2024 to expand operations and access new markets.
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju highlighted significant initiatives aimed at the development and prosperity of Arunachal Pradesh and the Northeast. His address emphasized efforts to transform Arunachal Pradesh into an appealing investment destination.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu expressed optimism about UNNATI – 2024 and said that through UNNATI – 2024, Arunachal and the entire Northeast will achieve great heights.
He highlighted the state’s implementation of the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Yojana to support startups. The visit concluded with a pledge for continued collaboration between the central and state governments to translate discussed initiatives into tangible outcomes.
