Rs 1 lakh reward for info on fugitives who killed constable in Khonsa jailbreak

Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh Police (APP) has announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh each for any credible information that could lead to the arrest of two undertrials who escaped from the sub-jail in Khonsa after allegedly killing an IRBN constable Wangniam Bosai on March 26 last.

According to reports, the two fugitives, Rocksen Homcha, a resident of Borduria village in Tirap district and Titpu Kitnya from Chengsa village in Changlang district, snatched the service rifle from Bosai, who was on sentry duty, and opened fire on him.

Bosai succumbed to his injuries while being shifted to Dibrugarh, Assam for medical intervention.

Kitnya is a convict in a murder case, while Homcha is an under-trial prisoner and both are NSCN-K (NS) operatives.

A case has been registered against the two escaped prisoners in Khonsa Police station the Tirap Police, 6 AR, and 36 Bn CRPF, are currently conducting efforts to locate the escapees.

APP public relations officer Rohit Rajbir Singh said the reward shall be given to any individual who can provide accurate information that leads to the arrest of the criminals.

“The identity of the informer shall be kept a secret,” Singh said in a press statement.
