Patanjali to set up ayurvedic de-addiction center in Arunachal

Itanagar: The Patanjali Research Institute has assured to set up an ayurveda based drug de-addiction center in Arunachal Pradesh.

The assurance to set up the de-addiction center was given by yoga guru Baba Ramdev and Patanjali Ayurveda managing director Acharya Balkrishna to state environment and forest minister Mama Natung.

Natung met Ramdev and Balkrishna at the Patanjali Yogpeeth and Research Institute in Haridwar, Uttarakhand on Thursday.

During the meeting, Natung also discussed with Ramdev and Balkrishna the prospects of setting up a state of the art Biodiversity Park and a center for Scientific Research and Documentation of Floral Biodiversity in Arunachal Pradesh.

The minister also emphasized on the promotion of traditional systems of medicine such as ayurveda and siddha in India, particularly in Arunachal, and invited the Patanjali Research Institute to create such facilities in the northeastern state.

Pending issues related to the Patanjali Garden project at Seijosa in Pakke Kessang were also discussed during the meeting.

Among others, state’s principal chief conservator of forests R K Singh and sports and youth affairs secretary Anirudh Singh accompanied the minister during his visit.
