Hollywood space for Arunachalee visual effects artist

Itanagar: Michi Dusu Yama, a young VFX artist from Arunachal Pradesh has made it big in Hollywood after her name was featured as one of the members of the Warner Bros animation team for American superhero film Black Adams.

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, Black Adam is a Hollywood action adventure film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. The film starring Dwayne Johnson, or popularly known as The Rock was released on October 21.

Yama, who is also known for her work in the Legend of Hanuman, an Indian animated series, works as a creature technical director (TD) for DNEG at present. DNEG is one of the world’s leading visual effects and animation studios for feature film and television.

Yama holds a diploma in advanced visual effects, animation, interactive technology, video graphics and special effects.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu has congratulated Yama for her accomplishment.

“I’m proud to learn that the daughter of Arunachal Michi Dusu Yama is a member of the animation team of Warner Brothers, makers of #Black_Adam movie. Yama works for London-based DNEG company. She will keep bringing laurels to us. Heartiest congratulations and best wishes to Yama,” the chief minister said in a tweet on Wednesday.
