Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society (APLS) has selected eminent poet and fiction writer Ms Ajanta for the Luminous Lummer Dai Literary Award-2022.
Ajanta was selected for the prestigious award by the APLS jury led by Sokhep Kri as its chairman and members Nomi Maga Gumro and Subi Taba.
Ajanta also translates work in Hindi, Bengali and English into Assamese.
The award will be conferred on Ajanta on June 01 on the occasion of the 82th birth anniversary of Sahitya Surjya Late Lummer Dai.
Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein and APLS president Yeshe Dorjee Thongchi would grace the occasion as the chief guest and guest of honor respectively.
Instituted by APLS in the memory of Late Dai, the Luminous Lummer Dai Literary Award carries a citation, a memento and cash prize of Rs 10,000/-.
