Arunachal Wushu players shine in Nat’l sub-junior C’ship

Arunachal bagged a total of 4 medals including 2 silver in championship.

Itanagar: Arunachalee Wushu players have bagged a total of 4 medals including 2 silver in the 22nd Sub-Junior National Wushu Championship, held at Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh from July 09 to 14 last.

Participating in the Taijijian and Spear events Takam Chumchi and Pongchoi Reham won a silver medal each for Arunachal while Mingni Tangha and Yumring Kongkang bagged bronze medals for the state in the Nanquan event.

The state Wushu team was led by Techi Juna and Tai Kaya as the team coach and manager respectively.

The players and officials were accorded a warm welcome by the All Arunachal Pradesh Wushu Association (AAPWA) led by its president Toko Teki on Wednesday.

More than 1200 athletes drawn from 35 units of the Wushu Association of India participated in the sub-junior national championship this year.
