Itanagar: Taking its doorstep delivery of government services a step further, the Arunachal Pradesh government on Wednesday organized mega Sarkar Aapke Dwar (SAD) camps across all the districts of the state.
The mega camps were organized as a part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.
Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein who inaugurated the mega camp at the Kumari Adivasi village in Namsai’s Lekang circle said that the SAD camps, since its inception, have been hugely successful in helping the government reach the last mile.
Highlighting various people-friendly policies of the state government, Mein said that all the initiatives in the Budget 2022-23 have been taken for the common citizens, under the philosophy of ‘No citizen is left behind’.
“Accordingly the government has increased the fund allocation for organizing Sarkar Aapke Dwar camps from Rs 20 crore to Rs 7 crore. The budget intends to both reform and perform,” he said.
Mein said a total of 22 e-Governance initiatives shall also be rolled out this year for improving the interface between government to government and government to citizen interface.
He also mentioned that subsidy allocation under Atma Nirbhar Krishi and Bagwani Yojana has been enhanced from Rs 120 crore in 2021-22 (financial year) to Rs 200 crore in 2022-23.
The DCM further informed that the government will launch three new verticals — Atmanirbhar Plantation Scheme, Atmanirbhar Pashupalan Yojana and Atmanirbhar Matsyapalan Yojana and said that these schemes will improve nutritional security and enhance the income of farmers.
On promotion of beekeeping, Mein said that he is going to organize a workshop in Namsai soon so that the people can learn and avail its benefits.
The DCM said that the state government has ensured an investment of nearly Rs 14 crore in the form of bank credit provided to Self Help Groups (SHGs) and further announced that around 500 SGHs promoted by ArSRLM will be provided an amount of Rs.1 lakh each which would be maintained as a fixed deposit in their respective bank accounts.
Mein also said that the state government is supporting 300 primary level federations under Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana -. National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY NRLM) with a grant of Rs 2 lakh each for procuring good transport vehicles.
To give a fillip to entrepreneurship and generate employment in the state, Mein said fund allocations have been enhanced in schemes like Deen Dayal Upadhyay Swavlamban Yojana and Chief Minister Paryatan Yojana in the present financial year.
He added that the government would soon notify a new ‘startup policy’ to encourage and incentivize new start-ups and ventures in the state.
“With the rollout of these initiatives, at least 500 young entrepreneurs shall be supported in just one year. Not only will our youth get to contribute to our growing economy, but they shall also become job givers/creators instead of job seekers,” said Mein.
The DCM earlier distributed 59 tractors and 17 power tillers under the Atma Nirbhar Krishi Yojna and Atmanirbhar Bagwani Yojna and other materials to the beneficiaries under various state sponsored schemes.
Among others, Namsai Chau Zingnu Namchoom and MLA Lekang Jummum Ete Deori were present on the occasion.
Thousands of people thronged to the camp and availed the services provided by several government departments on the day.
Meanwhile, sharing information of the initiative on twitter, chief minister Pema Khandu said that his government “will continue to endeavor to achieve maximum governance and minimum government through these camps.”
At Itanagar: The Itanagar Capital Region district administration organized the mega SAD camp at the Government Higher Secondary School in ESS Sector here in which more than 500 beneficiaries availed the facilities provided by the government.
During the camp, the department of food and civil supplies issued a total of 28 forms for new ration and LPG connections while the district transport office issued various forms including learner license, vehicle registration, etc to around 19 beneficiaries.
The Jan Suvidha branch issued 45 scheduled tribe and permanent resident certificates, trading licences and forms for AADHAAR enrolment and correction were distributed.
The health department registered a total of 142 beneficiaries under various services like Health ID, CMAAY, MCD screening, PMJAY enrolment, etc.
At Tawang: The Tawang district administration organized the mega SAD camp at the Upper Primary School in Mangnam under the Lungla sub-division.
Deputy Commissioner Kesang Ngurup Damo who inaugurated the camp in presence of ADCs Lobsang Tsering and Tashi Dhondup, EAC Choiki Dondup and other heads of offices called upon the villagers to avail the facilities provided in the SAD camps.
The DC in his speech also spoke on the importance of protecting the environment and one’s culture, language and tradition.
A total of 620 beneficiaries availed the services provided by various departments during the camp.
At Aalo: The mega SAD camp here was inaugurated by legislator and advisor to law and justice minister Kento Jini at the Kombo Government Secondary School.
Appreciating West Saing deputy commissioner Penga Tato, his team and other heads of department for conducting the camp, the MLA in his address said that Arunachal is witnessing a fast pace of all-round development under the leadership of chief minister Khandu.
Calling upon the people to avail the facility of hemodialysis, the machine for which has been recently installed at the general hospital, Jini also announced that the much awaited CT scan machine will also be installed in the month of June.
DC Tato appealed to the people to avail the facilities provided by the government department in the camp.
A skit on drugs and alcohol by the students of St Francis De Sales College and Mother’s Vision marked the daylong event.
At Roing: A mega Sarkar Aapke Dwar camp was also conducted at the Lower Dibang valley district headquarters here to mark the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations where several government departments and banks provided their services to the public.
A total of 1309 people visited the camp while 769 benefitting from the services provided on the day.
At Yingkiong: Upper Siang deputy commissioner Shashvat Saurabh inaugurated the mega SAD camp at the multi-purpose community hall here in the presence ofZPC Lumgeng Litin, heads of offices and the public.
Around 30 government departments participated in the camp and provided on the spot services to the people besides disseminating information on various welfare schemes of the government.
Carrying forward the message and momentum of Airgun Surrender Abhiyan, a total of 19 airguns were also surrendered by the people of Palling, Simong, Komkar, Gette and Dalbing villages on the day.
At Rupa: The West Kameng district administration also joined the rest of the state in providing doorstep delivery of government services to the public on Wednesday.
The mega SAD camp at the Zyaotong Stadium here was inaugurated by Kalaktang MLA Dorjee Wangdi Karma in the presence of deputy commissioner Karma Leki, Bomdila ADC Sang Khandu and a host of heads of department, PRI leaders and public of the area.
In all, thirty departments participated in the camp and provided their services to the public.
The Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSLM) also organized a buyer-seller meet where seven local SHGs participated.
Over 1800 beneficiaries availed the services provided during the camp.
At Pasighat: Local MLA Kaling Moyong called upon the officers, Gaon Buras and PRI leaders to create more awareness on the schemes and services provided by the government for the people as he inaugurated the mega SAD camp at the Balek Secondary School here.
Highlighting various developmental initiatives taken up by the state and central government, Moyong said that the Sarkar Aapke Dwar is a vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to bring services of government departments and banking institutions at the people’s doorsteps and urged the denizens to avail its facilities.
Deputy Commissioner Tayi Taggu said the camp also helps the district administration resolve public grievances on the spot through prompt delivery of services.
At Ziro: More than 1100 beneficiaries from the Loth, Linia, Taderko, Tajgi, Jath, Balam villages of Upper Yachuli benefitted from the mega SAD camp organized by the Lower Subansiri district administration at the Government Middle School in Loth near on Wednesday.
The district health society organized a health mela as a part of the camp wherein 78 patients were treated for common ailments while 77 were screened for malaria and 78 got their sugar tests done.
Also 34 people underwent eye screening while 7 were vaccinated for Covid-19.
The general administration issued 68 scheduled tribe, 42 permanent resident, 23 income and 36 birth certificates whereas the department of agriculture provided farming tools and seeds to the famers.
Interactive sessions were also conducted by the department of horticulture, fisheries, labour and employment where the public cleared their doubts on various schemes.
Various banks from Ziro also participated in the camp and provided account opening forms and created awareness on financial literacy.
