Aalo: A 39-year-old Power department worker was electrocuted to death here in West Siang district on Saturday.
The labour has been identified as Morge Bagra, a native of Lipu Bagra village in the district.
The incident occurred at around 11.20 am when Bagra along with other department labourers were ‘reportedly’ on maintenance duty at Bogdo near here, Aalo police station officer in-charge inspector Duto Bagra said.
According to sources, Bagra came in contact with a live wire and died on the spot.
The OC declined to divulge any details as to the cause of the death, as the post-mortem is being conducted at Aalo general hospital.
“We have launched an investigation and we will give details only after we receive the post-mortem report,” the police officer said.
A case of unnatural death has been registered at the Aalo police station under Section 174 of the CrPC.
