Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has assured to extend all necessary support and build infrastructures to promote theatrical arts in the state.
Khandu gave this assurance to Riken Ngomle, assistant professor National School of Drama (NSD) who called on the former at his office here on Thursday.
The chief minister later also took to twitter to share the information.
“Performing arts can change our outlook and the way we experience the world. I am delighted to share few moments today with Riken Ngomle Ji, Asst Prof, @nsd_india. We will try to build necessary support and infrastructure for promotion of theatrical arts in our State,” Khandu said in a tweet.
It may be mentioned here that chief minister Khandu was left quite impressed with the theatre play ‘Arunachal Ek Safarnama – A Vision Reborn’, directed by Ngomle which was staged at the Dorjee Khandu Convention Centre here on February 20 as a part of the golden jubilee celebration of Arunachal Pradesh.
The play which mesmerized the audience in its premier was screened for the second time on the request of Khandu on Tuesday.
