APPSC member Col Tari calls for collaborative efforts to improve Commission’s image

Doimukh: Newly appointed Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) member, Col (Retd) Koj Tari, on Saturday underscored the vital need for collaborative efforts from aspirants, parents and the APPSC itself to enhance the Commission’s effectiveness.

Speaking at the annual alumni meet of the All Arunachal Sainik Schools Alumni Association (AASSAC) in Sopo near here, Tari emphasized the importance of safeguarding the APPSC’s image.

He also cautioned the aspirants against falling prey to dubious individuals with intentions to tarnish the Commission’s reputation.

Tari also reassured the audience present of the APPSC’s commitment to reform and called for cooperation, trust and faith in the newly appointed team.

“We have been appointed to clean up the system and we are on the job already,” he said.

Col (Retd) Tari and former National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) member Rosy Taba were appointed as new members of the APPSC on December 12, assuming office on December 13.

Besides the duo, the newly appointed APPSC chairman, Prof Pradip Lingfa and the other member, Dr Ashan Riddi, are yet to take the oath of office and secrecy and join office following pending office procedures related to their current positions.

Meanwhile, commenting on the potential of AASSAC Tari commended the organization’s ability to become a significant force in the state.

He acknowledged the presence of distinguished personalities from diverse backgrounds and a substantial youth force capable of contributing positively to the state’s development.

Nani Kajeen, owner and editor of Arunachal Front, a newspaper published from Itanagar, shared his personal journey, emphasizing the importance of qualities like patience, perseverance, and persistence for aspiring youth.

He also highlighted the role of innovation in achieving entrepreneurial success.

AASSAC president and also hydropower chief engineer, Pura Tupe outlined the association’s objectives, emphasizing unity, integrity and brotherhood among alumni.

Tupe urged the alumni to actively engage in social welfare activities and provide moral support to those in need.

The AASSAC on the day acknowledged the achievements of Col (Retd) Tari and Taru Tallo, the first alumni to hold constitutional posts in the APPSC and become an IAS officer, respectively. Senior alumni members, including Tamang Gyati, Homen Nara, T K Tagin, Hage Pilya, and Hage Bida, shared their perspectives during the event.
