MESAN crowned champions of Tadar Eachu Memorial Football tourney

Nirjuli: The 33rd Tadar Eachu Memorial Football Tournament, organized by the Nerist Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Association (NAPSA) at the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), concluded with MESAN (Meghalaya) emerging victorious.

The tournament, aimed at providing a platform for teams from diverse backgrounds within the college community, witnessed spirited matches and exceptional sportsmanship.

Participating teams included NAPSA (Arunachal), NEMSU (Manipur), NNSU (Nagaland), NMZP (Mizoram), MESAN (Meghalaya), NTSA (Tripura), SSWAN (Sikkim), ASAN (Assam), and NAISA (All India), showcasing their passion for football and fostering a sense of camaraderie.

The final match between MESAN and NEMSU was a spectacle of athleticism and determination, culminating in a thrilling penalty shootout (4-3) in favor of MESAN, who claimed the Tadar Eachu 2024 Championship title.

The finals were graced by esteemed guests, including NERIST director Prof Narendranath S, Dean (academy) Dr Sarsing Gao, Gymkhana chairman Dr N G Singh and Tadak Lardak Murtem.

The NAPSA has expressed its gratitude for the opportunity to host the prestigious event.
