Roing: Chief Minister Pema Khandu, addressing the youth at the closing ceremony of the 3rd Yuva Samanvay in Dambuk on Sunday, urged them to “Think Big, Dream Big” and adopt it as their mission with a disciplined life.
Encouraging the participating youths to draw valuable experiences and lessons from the three-day Yuva Samanvay, he emphasized the importance of aspiring for larger dreams.
Khandu highlighted the state government’s initiatives for youth development, including the establishment of TRIHMS, Sainik schools in Pasighat and Tawang (PPP mode), Eklavya Model Residential Schools, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, and Polytechnic Colleges across the state.
Describing Yuva Samanvay as an opportunity for diverse tribes and regions to interact, foster unity, and share knowledge, the chief minister stressed the need for cultivating the ‘Team Arunachal’ spirit among the youth and guiding them in a positive direction for future societal influence.
Continuing with the theme of ‘Yuva Against Drugs,’ Khandu advised the youth to steer clear of drugs, take drug addiction seriously, and actively contribute to eradicating it from society.
Deputy Chief Minister, Chowna Mein, encouraged the youth to learn about and honor the pioneers who shaped the destiny of Arunachal Pradesh.
Despite a delayed start in various fields, Mein expressed confidence in the youth’s ability to surpass talents nationwide.
MP Tapir Gao shared Team Arunachal’s commitment to enhancing the future of the state’s youth through various initiatives.
He emphasized that it is now the responsibility of the youth to carry these initiatives forward. Gao also stressed the importance of making the state drug-free and urged the youth to spread this message.
Other dignitaries present at the occasion included MLAs Laisam Simai, Kento Jini, Kaling Moyong, Kento Rina, Gum Tayeng, Mutchu Mithi, Sports and Youth Affairs secretary Abu Tayeng, Lower Dibang Valley ZPC Toni Borang, deputy commissioner Soumya Saurabh, and SP Akanksha Yadav.
Over 500 youth from different tribes of the state took part in the event which is aimed at showcasing the potential of youths in the fields of performing arts, sports, etc.
