Thrilling encounters mark inaugural ‘Pasighat Veteran Futsal Super Cup’

Pasighat: The inaugural edition of the Pasighat Veteran Futsal Super Cup got underway at the KM Futsal Ground in Ranaghat near here on Friday.

The opening day witnessed thrilling encounters as the day saw as many as eight teams battled it out on the futsal court.

In a closely contested match, Amigos Assam emerged victorious over Siiying Veteran with a final score of 2-1 while Siang United secured a narrow 1-0 win against the Pasighat Veteran Football Club (PVFC) to make it to the semis.

Abor Cronies United (ACU) managed to clinch a hard-fought victory over the Pasighat Apatani Welfare Society (PAWS) with a scoreline of 2-1 to move to the last four of the competition while the Pada Brothers Football Club (PBFC) showcased their prowess, defeating the Serene Life Foundation Club (SLFC) in a thrilling encounter that ended with a score of 4-3.

The stage is now set for the semi-finals and finals, scheduled to take place on July 15 and 16 next respectively.

The remaining teams will battle it out, striving for glory and aiming to lift the prestigious Pasighat Veteran Futsal Super Cup trophy.

Futsal enthusiasts and sports lovers from Pasighat and surrounding areas are eagerly anticipating the upcoming matches, as the tournament promises to deliver more excitement and intense competition.
