Arunachal: Khandu inaugurates Gepen ADC headquarters

Raga: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Thursday dedicated the newly created additional deputy commissioner (ADC) headquarters in Gepen near here to the people of Kamle district.

He also laid the foundation for the establishment of a new ADC building and accommodation for the ADC and other staff on the day.

The chief minister later took to twitter to share the information.  

“Attended a public meeting today at Gepen where the new Addl Deputy Commissioner (ADC) headquarters was inaugurated. Happy fulfilling the promises to provide better services to the people,” he said.

“Happy to dedicate a new office of the Addl Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Gepen to the people of Kamle district. The new ADC office inaugurated today will bring government services nearer to the people. The Kamle district was created in 2017 fulfilling the long felt aspirations,” the chief minister said in a separate tweet.

Meanwhile, officials said local MLA Tarin Dakpe also submitted a 10-point memorandum on the day seeking the chief minister’s approval.

Establishment of a police station at Gepen, infrastructure development for the newly created ADC headquarters, proper water supply and construction of a two lane road and a stadium with gallery at Gepen, upgradation of the present health sub-center to primary health center, upgradation of Puchigeko circle to an EAC sub-division, circle headquarters at Katrijo and Bomri Hapa, posting of science teachers in all the secondary and higher secondary schools of the district and to take up the issue of the proposed hydro power project in Kamle river with the authority concerned were the demands put forth by the MLA.

Khandu, on his part directed the Kamle deputy commissioner to send a proposal for the creation of a circle headquarters at the earliest and assured to consider the same on a phased manner.

He further assured to take up the issue of the proposed Kamle Hydro Power project with the appropriate authority.

The chief minister also assured to give necessary directions to the chief secretary to conduct a review meeting with all the concessionaires of Potin-Pangin Trans Arunachal Highway.

Among others, home minister Bamang Felix, MLAs Nyato Dukam, Taniya Soki and Hayeng Mangfi were present on the occasion.
