Arunachal gets country’s second highest tricolour

Tawang: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Thursday dedicated the 104-feet-tall national flag at the Ngangpa Natme (Buddha Park) here to the people of the state.

Khandu, who earlier hoisted the tricolour, said that the “monumental flag” is a way of the government to honour the patriotism of the people of Arunachal Pradesh towards the country.

The chief minister also congratulated the Indian Army, local MLA Tsering Tashi, the Tawang administration and its people for the flag.

Located at 10000 feet above sea level, the monumental national flag overlooking the Tawang city is second highest in the country in terms of altitude.

The highest national flag is located at Lukung near the Pangong Lake in Leh.
