DNGC students shine at national academic event

Itanagar: The Dera Natung Government College (DNGC) here on Tuesday felicitated its students — Bomzen Dulom, Tai Kamyer and Kipa Sanjay — for winning the first, third and fourth prizes respectively at the Akhil Bhartiya Nagri Lipi Patra Lekhan Pratiyogita, a national level Hindi letter writing competition recently.

The event was organized by the Nagri Lipi Parishad, Ministry of Education, Govt of India in New Delhi.

While Dulom and Kamyer are Hindi Major VI semester students of the college, Sanjay is a fourth semester student.

Expressing happiness over the performance of the students, college principal Dr M Q Khan said that there is no dearth of talent among the students and they can outshine both at the national and international level if guided properly.

“Though students of DNGC have been bringing laurels in co-curricular and extension activities at the national and international levels, this is, however, a record as our students have managed to win the first, third and fourth prizes at a national level academic event,” he said.

The DNGC fraternity also felicitated its Hindi associate professor Tumbom Riba Jomoh for her effective guidance and helping the students win the coveted prizes.
