Arunachal: MLA seeks people’s cooperation for overall development

Itanagar: Liromoba MLA and advisor to home minister, Nyamar Karbak on Wednesday called upon the people to extend their cooperation and support to the present government for overall development of the state.

“An area or state cannot develop if there is no support from the people, hence the government and its representatives would always need your constant collaboration and motivation,” Karbak said.

Karbak was addressing a gathering after inaugurating a ‘water treatment plant-cum-water tank’ at Liromoba, one of the EAC headquarters of West Siang district.

The MLA said, with the inauguration of the water treatment plant (WTP), the Liromoba Township is fully connected with proper drinking water for at least the next 4-5 decades.

Funded under the State Annual Development Agenda (SADA), the 68000-liter-WTP has the capacity to provide tapped water supply to around 1900 households.

Karbak also thanked chief minister Pema Khandu for his constant support and the West Siang PHE and Water Sanitation department led by chief engineer (Western Zone) Tomo Basar and Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) mission director Sentum Yomcha for supervising the all-important project.

Among others, West Siang deputy commissioner Penga Tato, ZPM Babom Romin, PHE and WS executive engineer Toney Ete were present on the occasion.
