Arunachal athletes leave for NE Sports Week

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh’s official contingent for the North East Regional Sports Week consisting 93 athletes and officials left for Imphal, Manipur on Tuesday.

Arunachal will be competing at the archery, badminton, boxing, football and table tennis events of the competition which is being organized by the Manipur youth and sport affairs department to celebrate the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav from April 28 to May 04 next.

Meanwhile, a see-off ceremony was organized at the Government Secondary School, Chimpu earlier in the morning to boost the morale of the athletes. Latest: Arunachal Footballer Gyamar Nikum called for National Football Camp

The event was attended by Arunachal Olympic Association secretary general Bamang Tago, Arunachal Pradesh Football Association secretary general Kipa Ajay, sports director Tadar Appa, Sports Authority of Arunachal director Gumnya Karbak and members of various sports associations of the state.
